God speaks to us through His inspired Word. If we desire a relationship with God it is best accomplished by knowing God. There is no better place to get to know God than through the Word where He reveals Himself to us. We do not need to be Biblical scholars to be saved but our salvation becomes more real in our lives the more we understand the great love that God shows for us.
Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. (Heb 1:1-2)
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work. (2Ti 3:16-17)
It is for this reason we encourage people to study the Word of God for themselves as well as study and be taught the word together. This is done in our Bible Study, Sunday Morning Service and Sunday School and in the Home groups.
With a strong foundation in the Word we find that we have a living understanding of life and this works out in our daily lives. Because of this we are more able to deal with the storms of life more effectively as we trust in the Word and lean on Jesus..
